Most historians know the ironic story of the Cadillac, how it ultimately started out a Ford, and fell victim to reorganization and investor qualms; only to become the Cadillac by a series of mis fortunate events, namely a $900 settlement between Henry Ford and investors giving him only rights to his name. The actual model, Cadillac, was named for the founder of Detroit Michigan an 18th century French explorer. The first actual car was completed in 1902 however, it wasn’t until January of 1903 when it actually made its debut to the public. The impressive Cadillac awed the crowds, and over two thousand people ordered their first Cadillac on that very day. Today, Cadillac operates under the philosophy of “art and science”…encapsulating the beauty of the vehicle with the science behind it, sharper lines, stacked headlamps, and angular grilles serve multiple roles. Perhaps best said, with the honors that have been bestowed upon the vehicle, Cadillac is “The Standard of the World”.

Among the many substances emitted by autos back in the “good old days” were the refrigerant gases that would leak from older auto air conditioners. Freon, also known as R-12, was replaced starting in the early 1990s with R-134a, which did less damage to the ozone layer. Now concern has expanded to greenhouse gases in general. Today, General Motors…

It turns out touring the countryside around Napa in one of the best-looking luxury sports coupes soon to be on the market isn’t a bad way to spend a Tuesday morning. But we’d have the same opinion of the new 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe even if we’d been stuck in Los Angeles traffic most of the day. Disclaimer: Cadillac flew us out to Yountville, put…

But Daimler and Chrysler split, two of the partners…
2010 Cadillac Escalade ESV Tuesday, 15 June 2010, 12:08 am
The Escalade is virtually unbeatable for interior space, with lots of elbow and shoulder room, and the ESV makes the most of it. Compared to the standard-length Escalade, the ESV is about 20 inches longer, and more of its 14-inch-longer wheelbase goes straight to legroom in the second and third rows. On the inside, the Escalade is virtually…
