Since its inception in 1903 when David Dunbar Buick incorporated the Buick Motor Company, the Buick line has been built around a proud history of producing precision automobiles.
In fact, the overhead valve engine (later advertised by Buick as the valve-in-head engine) was the innovative base from which the Buick success story was created. Soon Buick became the largest carmaker in America and the base for the newly created General Motors Corporation. At 100 years old, Buick is continuing in its long tradition of excellence by offering three truly innovative vehicles.

GM Invites Customers To Comment On 2011 Buick Regal Via Online Forum Thursday, 29 July 2010, 1:00 pm
These days we’re starting to see more and more of the major automakers starting to advertise using social media avenues such as Twitter and Facebook, and nowhere is this more evident than in the U.S. where automakers like GM, for instance, are launching new online forums for owners and potential customers to comment and interact with each other…
GM Greens Its Auto ACs With Greenhouse-Gas-Friendly Coolant Friday, 23 July 2010, 4:22 pm
Among the many substances emitted by autos back in the “good old days” were the refrigerant gases that would leak from older auto air conditioners. Freon, also known as R-12, was replaced starting in the early 1990s with R-134a, which did less damage to the ozone layer. Now concern has expanded to greenhouse gases in general. Today, General Motors…
General Motors Adds A Brand, Launches No-Frills Sedan In China Monday, 19 July 2010, 2:53 pm
Here in the U.S., General Motors and its chairman/CEO Ed Whitacre have sold off brands — or at least tried to – like they were going out of business. In China, however, where the economy is robust and the auto market remains strong, GM has launched a new car brand to lure lower-income and first-time buyers into showrooms. The brand is called…
Video: Buick Touts Regal’s German Heritage In Promo Spot Wednesday, 14 July 2010, 8:00 pm
The new Buick has already surprised us with the overall competence and quality of the new LaCrosse, with the Regal a strong follow-up. But Buick isn’t letting it lie at that–instead, it’s touting the Regal’s “German engineering” and calling for an “American Autobahn.” The move contrasts sharply with Jeep’s endeavor to become the most American of…
Driven: 2010 Buick Enclave Tuesday, 6 July 2010, 5:12 pm
Buick doesn’t get its own version of the Chevy Tahoe/GMC Yukon family, but it does get the Enclave crossover–which almost fits the bill, if you’re looking for something a little more family-friendly than a fifth wheel and any leg of the Triple Crown. The fact is, unless you tow very often, the Tahoe and Yukon aren’t nearly as nimble nor as…
GM Sells More Cars in China Than in the U.S. Friday, 2 July 2010, 1:31 pm
GM is celebrating this week–along with the Independence Day holiday here, it’s celebrating some huge sales numbers in Asia. Behind the power of its Buick brand, General Motors sold 1.21 million cars in China in the first six months of this year–which means the automaker is now selling more cars in China than in the U.S. Here at home, GM sold…
Driven: 2011 Buick Regal Thursday, 1 July 2010, 1:01 am
Look, you’re just going to have to get used to the fact that Buick’s given up some stuff to survive. It’s making the grade as an authentic near-luxury brand with cars like the swanky Enclave crossover and the plush, kicky LaCrosse–and there’s not a lazy undersquare V-8 lumbering under their hoods, no vinyl roofs to be found. And now it’s doing it…
